The information contained in the "Training area" is the intellectual property of the RMSA. This information is to be used for the purpose of training RMSA member players only. It is not to be shared with anyone outside the RMSA or other coaches - including RMSA coaches other than the password authorized user.
Concussion Training for Youth Coaches
Snakenberg concussion law took effect on January 1, 2012. This law makes it mandatory for all youth sports coaches to be trained on how to recognize concussion symptoms and how to deal with young athletes who are suspected of having suffered a concussion.
All Rocky Mountain Soccer Academy coaches are required to take a certification course as mandated by the state of Colorado law. It is illegal for any person to coach a youth sport without proper certification.
You can obtain certification by going to this link. We highly recommend that parents take the course as well or become aware of the symptoms of concussion, and the danger it poses to athletes if not properly treated. Please call the RMSA office for additional information. Additional information will also be posted here in the near future.
